Aluminum Slab Formwork Panels
Lightweight modular hand-set panel systems for high-cycle horizontal slab forming without crane assistance.
Engineered for Hand-Set Efficiency
Our modular aluminum slab formwork panels are constructed from structural 6061-T6 aluminum alloy profiles, welded to exact standards. The forming surface is a high-grade 12mm thick composite plastic sheet or birch plywood coated with 220g/m² phenolic resin, ensuring minimum friction during stripping and keeping concrete finish smooth. Because a standard 150cm x 75cm panel weighs just 15.5 kg (34 lbs), crews can quickly hand-set, level, and anchor the horizontal deck entirely from the safe floor below, eliminating crane hook-time and improving construction productivity.
Sizing and Structural Capacity Specifications
Slabform panels are available in standardized metric sizes, enabling modular forming of complex room shapes and slab profiles. Typical values below illustrate capacity:
| Panel Dimensions (cm) | Frame Material | Weight (kg / lbs) | Max Permissible Concrete Slab Thickness |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150 x 75 (Standard) | 6061-T6 Aluminum | 15.5 kg / 34.1 lbs | 12 inches (30 cm) |
| 150 x 50 (Adjuster) | 6061-T6 Aluminum | 12.0 kg / 26.4 lbs | 12 inches (30 cm) |
| 75 x 75 (Square) | 6061-T6 Aluminum | 9.5 kg / 20.9 lbs | 16 inches (40 cm) |
| 75 x 50 (Small) | 6061-T6 Aluminum | 7.0 kg / 15.4 lbs | 16 inches (40 cm) |
Interlocking Safety Profile
The perimeter profile of our panels features a unique wedge hook mechanism that self-aligns when hooked into the system's drophead. This ensures that panels cannot swing loose or slide out of position during the laydown process. The seamless joints between panels minimize concrete bleeding, reducing post-pour grinding and patching costs to near zero.
