Perimeter Edge Protection & Fall Barriers
Durable, high-visibility structural edge clamp and mesh barrier systems for drop-prevention on concrete horizontal slabs.
Why Site Perimeter Safety Cannot Be Hand-Made
Nailing scrap 2x4 timber boards to green concrete columns is a common, but dangerous and costly, practice that violates OSHA regulations. Slabform offers a fully engineered edge protection system compliant with EN 13374 Class A standard. The system comprises heavy-gauge steel mesh barrier grids, quick-locking compression slab clamps, and structural guardrail posts that snap into position in seconds. This ensures worker safety and compliance with fall protection standards.
Mesh Barrier Structural Load Limits
Slabform safety systems are structurally designed to absorb dynamic impact weights, such as a falling worker sliding down a ramp.
| Safety Component | Steel Grade | Static Load Limit | Standard Compliance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mesh Barrier Panel (2.6m) | Q235 Powder-Coated Steel | 1.5 kN lateral pull force | EN 13374 Class A |
| Slab Compression Clamp | Hot-dip Galvanized S355 | 3.0 kN friction lock load | OSHA 1926.502 |
| Cast-In Anchor Socket | High Impact Polyethylene | To concrete capacity exceed | ANSI A10.18 |
Clamping and Anchoring to Concrete Decks
The Slabform perimeter post holder can be installed using two primary methods: an adjustable compression clamp that compresses around the cured edge slab (supporting concrete depths up to 16"), or pre-arranged plastic sleeves cast directly into the wet concrete during the pour. Once the concrete reaches curing criteria, the safety posts are inserted directly into these sleeve pockets, providing instant edge protection for the next level up.
